Geothermal
Heat from the ground, stable all year
- Efficiency
- SCOP up to 5.28
- Works
- Vertical boreholes of 80 to 190 m
- Outdoor unit
- Not needed
We distribute Thermia heat pumps for heating, cooling and hot water, from a single home to an entire building. We support installers, run the feasibility study and maintain installations.

Heat from the air, no drilling
SCOP with underfloor heating at 35 °C and an average climate, from Thermia datasheets. Depths from the reference projects.
It takes heat from an outside source and carries it into the building. In geothermal the source is the ground, which stays at a nearly constant temperature all year. In air-source it is the outdoor air.
A closed loop runs through vertical boreholes and brings heat from the ground. There is no outdoor unit.
An outdoor unit takes heat from the air. No drilling is needed.
Many homes get through the year with two systems: a boiler for winter and air conditioners for summer. Two investments, two maintenance contracts, two things that can break. One heat pump covers it all: heating, hot water and cooling, with the same unit and the same underfloor heating or fan coils.
With geothermal, summer works in your favour. The ground is much cooler than the air, and that difference can be used to cool the house with minimal consumption, without starting the compressor.
It depends on the heat demand of the building, the ground and the heating system. Geothermal costs more to install, mainly because of the drilling, and in return uses less electricity. A free feasibility study gives you a figure for your case.
Both are very efficient. Geothermal performs a little better and needs no outdoor unit, but it requires drilling. Air-source is simpler to install. See geothermal and air-source.
In most cases yes, with radiators or underfloor heating. Radiators designed for high temperatures need checking first.
Yes. We work across Spain, through installers we train and support.
The feasibility study is free and carries no obligation. We analyse the building, the ground and the heating and cooling needs.
